Grapple Swing Platformer

Description
One Hook, Every Move
Grapple Swing Platformer strips 2D platforming down to a single tool: a grappling hook aimed and fired with the mouse. Clicking and holding the primary button shoots the hook toward a surface; keeping the button held pulls the character toward the hooked point. Releasing it, or using a secondary button, detaches the hook. There is no run button, no jump button, and no keyboard input. Every climb, swing, and recovery depends on where you aim and when you let go.
Level Structure and Difficulty Curve
The game ships with 30 handcrafted levels that grow steadily harder. Early stages teach the basic hook motion in low-risk settings, while later layouts demand tighter aim and better momentum management. Three hazard types appear across the stages, each calling for a different avoidance approach, and two interactive object types can be used to extend movement options or open new routes. An endless mode sits alongside the campaign for players who want to keep practicing after the main levels are done.
Reading the Room Before You Swing
Because the character is always in motion once the hook connects, success depends on planning a route before committing to a shot. The minimal pixel art keeps surfaces, hazards, and interactive objects clearly readable, which matters when a single mistimed release sends the character into danger. Judging distance and momentum becomes the core skill: a swing that looks safe can still carry too much speed into a hazard, and a short pull may leave the character short of the next anchor point.
Who This Is For
This is a game for players who enjoy mastering one mechanic through repetition rather than juggling many systems. The mouse-only scheme makes it easy to start, but the difficulty curve rewards patience, observation, and controlled movement over fast reflexes. Sessions can be short, and the endless mode gives a reason to return once the 30 main levels are cleared.
