Description

French Tarot is a classic card game played with a unique 78-card deck, including 52 standard cards, 21 trumps, 4 Cavaliers, and the Excuse. In this online version, you can play against three computer-controlled opponents without any registration. The game follows traditional French Tarot rules, where players bid for contracts like Small, Guard, Guard without the dog, Guard against, and Slam. The goal is to score enough points based on the number of oudlers you hold—Petit, 21 of trumps, and Excuse—to succeed in your contract. This free game offers a fun and strategic experience for all ages.

To start, cards are dealt to all players. Each player then has a turn to bid on the contract, choosing from Small, Guard, Guard without the dog, Guard against, or Slam. The highest bidder becomes the taker and must score a target number of points (56, 51, 41, or 36) depending on their oudlers. Oudlers are special cards: Petit (1 of trumps), 21 of trumps, and Excuse. Play proceeds with players following suit or playing trumps, and the taker aims to meet their point goal. The game is intuitive and easy to learn.
