Partner Survival Standoff

Description
Two Players, One Screen
Partner Survival Standoff puts two players on a shared screen with a single objective: keep threats from reaching their position. Each player controls their own character and aims independently, so the screen splits into two personal zones of responsibility. One partner might watch the left approach while the other covers the right. Because the camera never separates, both players always see the same field and must react to the same pressure at the same time.
Aiming, Timing, and Tool Use
Controls stay deliberately simple. Players aim up or down, activate their tool, and switch equipment using a separate set of keys or touch inputs. Tools never run out of energy, so the real constraint is not resource management but accuracy and timing. A missed shot leaves a gap that the other player has to cover. That design turns every wave into a test of coordination rather than endurance.
Coins and the Between-Wave Shop
Defeated threats drop coins, the only currency in the game. After every ten waves, a shop appears offering supplies and energy boosts. The decision is rarely obvious: buy immediate help to survive the next stretch, or save for a stronger upgrade later. Since both players draw from the same coin pool, spending becomes a shared decision that can shape the rest of a run.
Escalating Waves and Shifting Tactics
Waves are endless and grow harder over time. New threat types can appear, forcing players to adjust their positioning and priorities instead of repeating a fixed pattern. No two runs unfold identically, and the cooperative structure means teamwork usually matters more than individual skill. Communication about angles, shop timing, and target priority becomes the core strategic layer.
Retro Look, Accessible Entry
The pixel-art style echoes classic arcade machines, with a bright, clear palette that keeps threats readable against the environment. Visual clutter stays low so players can focus on aiming and movement. Simple controls and touch-screen support lower the barrier to entry, making the game easy to pick up on a tablet or phone without a steep learning curve.
